The Certificate IV in Small Business Management will provide you with the skills you will need to run your own small business.
This course will offer you a variety of skills necessary to meet the challenges of the tough environment that is small business.
This qualification will educate you on the principals and practice of small business management.
You will be trained in business planning, financial planning and researching business opportunities.
This course would suit you if you are already operating or intending to operate your own small business. It is also a valuable course for you if you are a senior employee, farmer, insurance agent, bookkeeper, bank manager or if you are simply interested in learning entrepreneurial skills.
Students studying full time at Mt Gravatt campus will also have the opportunity to receive a Certificate IV in Business by completing only three additional units.

| Entry Requirements | There are no specific entry requirements, however, Certificate III or equivalent business related competencies is recommended. Students under 17 years of age must meet enrolment requirements as specified in the Education (General Provisions Act) 2006. |
| Program Duration | Full Time: 6 Months (Mt Gravatt) Students can also fast-track and complete the course in a shorter period of time in consultation with their teacher at the start of the course. |
| Program Articulation | Successful completion of this program may allow the student to further their studies to Diploma level within the Business Services Training Package. |

| How to apply | If attached, complete an application form and return to the Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE with the appropriate documentation. | Cost | The cost of this program may vary depending on the individual courses nominated per semester. Full Fee: $1005 Concession Fee: $582 Concession rates are available for holders of current concession cards presented at point of enrolment. We will work with you to identify your existing skills, and assess if you can then achieve a full or part qualification.
